Pool Equipment Warning Signs: Astralpool, Kripsol and Fluidra Owners Guide

Most pools on Mallorca run equipment from a handful of brands, Astralpool, Kripsol, Fluidra and Hayward, and their warnings follow the same logic even where displays differ. This guide covers what the common warning categories mean, what you can safely check yourself and where the do it yourself line sits. For model specific codes, the manual for your exact unit is always the authority.
Flow warnings
A flow alarm on a salt system or heater almost always means the water is not moving as it should: a full skimmer basket, a dirty filter, a closed valve after maintenance or an airlock in the pump. Check baskets, filter pressure and valve positions before suspecting the electronics, nine times out of ten the cause is upstream of the box showing the warning.
Salt and cell warnings
Low salt warnings in spring often just mean winter rain diluted the pool. A cell warning that stays on after cleaning the electrode of scale usually means the cell is reaching the end of its five to seven year life. Cleaning is owner territory, diagnosing a worn cell against a control box fault is technician territory.
Pressure creep on the filter
A filter gauge that climbs steadily above its clean baseline is asking for a backwash. A gauge that returns high right after backwashing points at sand that is worn or channelled, typically due for a change every three to five years on island pools.
When to stop and call
Anything involving opening the electrical box, persistent tripping of breakers, a pump that hums without starting or repeated warnings after the basic checks is the point to stop. A technician resolves most of these in one visit, and every job is quoted in writing first.
Basic checks solve half of all warnings, honest diagnosis solves the rest. Our pump and filter repair network covers all major brands, and free quotes take two minutes.
